The “Kickboxer” remake is heating up with some very exciting casting news! WWE star David Bautista and UFC champion Georges St. Pierre has officially joined the “Kickboxer” reboot. Stunt man and martial artist Alain Moussi will make his debut as the lead character, he is set to play Kurt Sloane previously played by action movie veteran Jean Claude Van Damme. St. Pierre was last seen in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” as Batroc, sporting some very fancy fighting moves.

“Kickboxer” will be helmed by Stephen Fung (“Tai Chi Zero”) with a script by Jim McGrath and Dimitri Logothetis, set up through Radar Pictures which produced “The Last Samurai” and “Riddick”. The story will explore the life of 21st century mercenaries as they collide with the underground world of Brazilian Vale Tudo fighting.
