Mark your calendar, we know have two series we can look forward to on Sundays. First is the obvious Game of Thrones, which will end in 6 weeks. Secondly we have the mini-series adaptation of the classic Roman Polanski’s 1968 film Rosemary’s Baby. It is one of the most notorious ‘devil-child’ movies ever, and this is one reboot we are actually giving the nod of approval to. After checking-out the trailer and the first look video below, we are seriously looking forward to this mini-series. There is a great cast taking part of the 4 episodes of 1 hour each.

Starring Zoe Saldana (Star Trek), Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Carole Bouquet, Christine Cole, Jason Isaacs and Olivier Rabourdin.

The story has been altered slightly, with Rosemary and Guy moving to an apartment in Paris in New York, but if anything this change in location will only add to the protagonist’s sense of displacement and isolation. Rosemary’s Baby is set to begin filming on location later this month, which means that it could be on our screens in late 2014.

The script for Rosemary’s Baby was written by James Wong (American Horror Story) and Scott Abbott (Queen of the Damned), and the miniseries will be directed by Agnieszka Holland (The Wire). With four hours in which to let the story breathe, Rosemary’s Baby has the potential to be a worthy modern take on Levin’s novel, and Saldana is a solid casting choice for the lead.
