On January 6, Jerry Seinfeld teased a “big, huge, gigantic” project” with old time collaborator Larry David. During a Redit Ask Me Anything session Seinfeld started a frenzy when he responded to the following question:
‘What is the most mundane thing you and Larry have obsessed over?’
Jerry responded:
‘We never obsess over anything that isn’t mundane. Most recent was intentional mumbling. We wrote this script for this thing that you will eventually see but I can’t reveal what it is at this time. All I can do is tell you is that it’s big, huge, gigantic.’
There were suspicions of a Broadway play, even a Super Bowl ad for his web series “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee” when photographers caught Jerry, Larry, and Jason Alexander strolling into Tom’s Restaurant.
Speaking on the WFAN’s Boomer and Carton radio show, Seinfeld confused the situation even further saying:
“I gave you more now than I’ve given anyone. I told you what it isn’t. And then I also told you that it isn’t not that, either.”
Luckily for Seinfeld fans a quick Q&A followed to clear the air in some way or the other. At least we know whatever it is, was filmed, it’s “short-ish”, Seinfeld characters were involved, will be out “very, very soon” and it’s once off. The project was also filmed in other locations outside Tom’s Restaurant.
