FX has released a sneak peek for its upcoming series “The Strain” with a new teaser. The clip shows New York cast in darkness before it features a tagline, “He is here.” The vampire drama series is based on del Toro and Hogan’s best-selling novels of the same name.

Synopsys:

“The Strain is a high-concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.”

The series stars Corey Stoll, Mia Maestro, David Bradley, Sean Astin, Kevin Durand, Natalie Brown, Jonathan Hyde, Richard Sammel, Robert Maillet, Jack Kesy, Regina King, Ben Hyland, and Miguel Gomez. The horror series is expected to premiere in July on FX.

Even thought the teaser isn’t revealing much, we are still intrigued by who, or what, is causing the massive blackout!
