Alexander Skarsgard was probably wishing he was one of the undead when the star of the vampire series ‘True Blood’ braved the cold in the Antarctica. Skarsgard can be seen wearing only his sunglasses, pants down past his knees and a pair of snow boots while squatting on a toilet reading a book. The trek raised money for wounded soldiers and involved three teams representing the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada/Australia.

Inge Solheim, Skarsgard’s team guide on the Walking With the Wounded Challenge, shared the photo with the caption:

“#southpole -30C What are you reading Alex? The script for season 7 of #truebloodHBO?”

The pose mimics Skarsgard’s scene in the sixth finale episode of “True Blood”. Skarsgard is not fazed by nudity, the 37-year-old Swedish actor told Conan O’Brien last year:

“I think, in general, people are slightly more comfortable with nudity in Sweden,”

“I also come from a family – my dad and especially his side of the family are old hippies and bohemians. I think I was 14 the first time I saw my dad wearing pants. He was always naked.”

That explains a lot!
