We’ve been covering the battle between PS4 and Xbox One sales since the launch of both next-gen consoles. Yesterday at CES 2014 Sony announced that 4.2 million PlayStation 4s have been sold worldwide. This is an extremely impressive sales figure, but how does it compare to the Xbox Oneor Wii U? How much faster are the new consoles selling than their predecessors? IGN broke it down in the below Infographs.

The battle is a two horse race, and a pretty close one between the two leading companies, Sony and Microsoft. Sony claiming a massive 4.2 million PS4 consoles sold after 6 weeks, while the Xbox One has 3 million after 5 and a half weeks.

Does it matter who wins? Not really. Does winning make one better than the other? No. But it is still fun to watch…
