We have the first trailer for the Veronica Mars movie starring Kristen Bell. In the trailer, we see Veronica returning to her hometown of Neptune, Calif., determined to leave her past life as a private eye behind. The murder of a singer interferes with those plans, and an ex-boyfriend complicates her life even further. The Veronica Mars movie was one of the fasted crowd-funded projects to reach its target of $1,000,000. The project had no problem reaching its $2 million goal and surpassing it, ultimately getting $5.7 million in funding.
We were really big fans of Kristen Bell up until her role in ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’, we just can’t get the image of Jason Segel’s wiener out of our heads. Please Kristen give us something else to associate you with!
The movie is based on a TV series created by Rob Thomas, which ran from 2004 to 2007, and though it never reached stellar ratings, it had (and obviously still has) a devoted following. Rob Thomas is directing and Kristen Bell reprises her role as the title character.
The movie hits select theaters on March 14.
