Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures have officially cast its main actors in Duncan Jones‘ upcoming Warcraft movie. We knew about Travis Fimmel (Vikings) and Colin Farrel. We can now confirm:
- Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma)
- Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol)
- Toby Kebbell (RocknRolla)
- Rob Kazinsky (Pacific Rim).
Dominic Cooper (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) is in the final stages of negotiations. We know the movie will be an origin story about the “first contact” between Orcs and humans, and will include characters Lothar and Durotan from Warcraft 2 (Revealed at this years BlizzCon).
The movie was originally scheduled for release on December 18, 2015, which it called before Star Wars: Episode VII announced when it would be hitting theatres. But now that Episode 7 has picked the same weekend. Understandably going head to head with possibly one of the biggest movies to ever hit cinema since Avatar is a bad idea. Warcraft will now première on March 11, 2016. With the Warcraft movie release date pushed to 2016, the wait will be excruciatingly long…
