Warcraft Movie Release Date Pushed to 2016

Duncan Jones‘ Warcraft Movie was originally scheduled for release on December 18, 2015, which it called before Star Wars: Episode VII announced when it would be hitting theatres. But now that Episode 7 has picked the same weekend. Understandably going head to head with possibly one of the biggest movies to ever hit cinema since Avatar is a bad idea. Warcraft will now première on March 11, 2016. With the Warcraft movie release date pushed to 2016, the wait will be excruciatingly long…

In an interview with IGN Colin Farrell discussed his ‘possible’ role in the upcoming Warcraft movie, check-out the interview here. We know the movie will be an origin story about the “first contact” between Orcs and humans, and will include characters Lothar and Durotan from Warcraft 2 (Revealed at this years BlizzCon). We know that shooting will start in January and Viking Star Travis Fimmel is also set to join the cast in a lead role.
