agents-of-shield-will-have-a-thor-crossover

We knew the crossover between Thor: The Dark World and Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were coming and although we were a little disappointed with the episode, Marvel can see this as a success in the sense that they are slowly linking their entire juggernaut which is the Marvel universe with its movies, and now TV shows. In the episode S.H.I.E.L.D. is left with picking up the pieces of the aftermath in Thor: The Dark World.

Expected a Thor cameo? Even Loki Maybe? Nope… but we can always hope can’t we…

Latest news is that a Captain America: The Winter Soldier crossover is heading our way next. This will most probably only happen after Captain America has premièred on April 4 2014, which is still a long wait ahead for us.

S.H.I.E.L.D. producer Jed Whedon recently spoke with TV Guide regarding the series and the next movie and TV crossover episode, saying,

“We’re trying to flesh out the world. The Marvel brand carries with it a lot of familiar faces. We’re trying to flesh out the world of S.H.I.E.L.D. with the established characters and the characters we’re introducing to build out the larger organization that we operate in. That’s where some of the fun can be had.”

Whedon then confirmed that Samuel L. Jackson will be back in the episode, saying,

“Nick Fury [Samuel L. Jackson] is in that one, and S.H.I.E.L.D. makes an appearance, so we will definitely try to tee-up some stuff and probably play a little bit of the fallout from that film. We’re hoping to do some cool stuff.”

He also talked a little bit about Coulson and his return from the dead.

“We know that there’s going to be a lot of theories and there’s no chance that whatever we reveal won’t, at some point, be written on the internet. We’re just trying to come up with ways to make it surprising or make it not how they expected it to unravel. We know what it is, but we know that no one else does yet.”

If you’re not watching this show and you’re a Marvel fan, then what are you waiting for! The show has left plenty unimpressed, but it remains a fun and entertaining show with the humongous Marvel behind it to spice it up just about any time or anywhere.
