Fresh after the launch of the Playstation 4, Microsoft released it’s next gen console the Xbox One. After reportedly also selling more than 1 million devices, world wide (same as the PS4) some users have reported an issue with using the Xbox One’s disc drive. We’re dubbing it the “Disc Drive Failure Sound from Hell“. Too long?
With mass producing of consoles these days in order to feed the growing demand, it has become obvious that these type pf errors may creep in with devices. Sony wasn’t spared from this fate as users reported the “wobble” issue as well as the “Blue light of death“. Microsoft on the other hand are having issues with their Blu-Ray player. As new console owners insert a game or movie disc into the console, they’re greeted by a horrific grinding noise. If you can stomach it, there’s a whole montage video featuring dozens of Xbox One consoles making awful, crunching noises. Microsoft is obviously aware of the problem and they issued the following statement:
“The issue is affecting a very small number of Xbox One customers. We’re working directly with those affected to get a replacement console to them as soon as possible through our advance exchange program. Rest assured, we are taking care of our customers.”
It is possible the most horrific sounds ever to the ears of the new console owner, worse than nails on a chalk board. At this point the only solution is getting the faulty console replaced. Check-out this video for the horrible Xbox One Disc Drive Problems Reported :
