Latest rumors suggest that “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” will get a subtitle. Brazilian movie website Cinepop.com revealed yesterday that Sony’s “The Amazing Spider-Man” sequel will be entitled “The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro” for its Brazilian release. There are no further indications if the same title will be applied to North American release.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will reprise their roles as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy respectively. Dane DeHaan stars as Harry Osborn, Jamie Foxx as the villainous Electro, and Paul Giamatti as The Rhino. Marc Webb returns to serve behind lens for the sequel due to be released May 2, 2014. “The Amazing Spider-Man” is also scheduled for two more sequels. “The Amazing Spider-Man 3” will follow on June 10, 2016 and “The Amazing Spider-Man 4” on May 4, 2018.
