“The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” has launched a new trailer. The clip was released during a global live fan event along with a new poster and behind-the-scene look at the movie’s making. We get to see glimpses of the difficult journey to the Lonely Mountain as the battle continues to reclaim their homeland.

I am sure many fans followed the event online around the world, it was broadcast from different locations including New York, London, Los Angeles and Wellington, New Zealand. Hosted by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, fans had the privilege of seeing Orlando Bloom, Andy Serkis, Evangeline Lilly and Richard Armitage among others attending the event alongside director Peter Jackson.
The hotly anticipated sequel follows Thorin Oakenshield leading his people to where the sleeping dragon Smaug resides as they face-off the skin-changer Beorn and a swarm of giant Spiders. “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” will be in theaters on December 13.
