The submarine Lotus Esprit, Nicknamed “Wet Nellie”, sold for much less than the Aston Martin DB5 used in Sean Connery’s “Goldfinger”, which has the record as the highest ex-007 car to be sold. Anyone with some spare change could have bid on the DB5 which sold for a staggering £2.9 million.
