The new take on the movie franchise promised to be “darker” and more in tune with the successful formula introduced with “Pitch Black”. GeekShizzle was initially not excited about the prospects of the third installment due to the poor ratings received for “The Chronicles of Riddick”. Director David Twohy’s “back to basic” approach and the red band trailer is more than enough reason to be more excited about “Riddick”.
