Director John M. Chu will take another swing at  “G.I. Joe” with a third installment. In an interview with Collider.com during the Comic-Con weekend, he revealed that a writer would be hired soon, Johnson and Willis has been confirmed to reprise their roles. Both actors first got involved in the franchise in “Retaliation”, which opened last March.

Chu teases that it would be fun to see new “Joes” joining the team, and the slight possibility that “Transformers” and “G.I. Joe” worlds could combine as long as the reality of their worlds matches.

Hopefully the “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” helmer will come back with a bang, after both films we not received well by critics. “The Rise of Cobra” scored 34%; and “Retaliation” 28% on the Tomatometer.
