Quicksilver is a mutant capable of moving and thinking at superhuman speeds
Aaron Johnson was at the San Diego Comic-Con to promote “Kick-Ass 2”. He gave his response to rumors that he could be the Quicksilver depicter that Joss Whedon wants for the sequel.

There’s no confirmation that Johnson has landed the role just yet.
According to The Wrap, the “Kick-Ass” star is the man Marvel wants to play Quicksilver in “The Avengers 2”. In addition to the Johnson rumors, “Hanna” actress Saoirse Ronan’s name has been mentioned in connection to Scarlet Witch, the twin sister of Quicksilver.
