Giant monster goldfish weighing as much as 4 pounds have mysteriously found their way into the waters of Lake Tahoe. Scientists say the influx threatens native species while posing a potential waste pollution problem. During a surveys conducted, researchers found a corner where approximately 15 other goldfish were schooling and spawning. The arrival of the fish, which were probably dumped there by aquarium owners, might spark the day for a new category of fish to be catched at Lake Tahoe! It’s unclear whether the giant fish were introduced as fully grown adults, or while they were still small.
I am sure Mr.Burns from the Simpsons has something to do with this. The mutated fish found in numerous ponds located close to the nuclear factory is flashing through my mind when I read this.
