Like many of you, I’ve been looking forward to seeing what Bryan Cranston would look like as Zordon in the upcoming Power Rangers movie. Well, it looks like we have our first image that comes from a Power Rangers VR experience being shown at Qualcomm’s booth at the ongoing CES. You can see a photo of that VR experience below, which was posted on Reddit:
There’s no confirmation that this is legit, but it looks like Cranston, and it looks like the kind of style that we’d see in the film. As you can see he’s a giant floating head in a cave like setting rather than in a tube. If this is legit, I’m sure Lionsgate will release a much better look at Cranston in the role soon.
Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
The Rangers you see here include Dacre Montgomery as Jason the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Becky G as Trini the Yellow Ranger, and Ludi Lin as Zack the Black Ranger. Elizabeth Banks also stars in the movie as the main villain Rita Repulsa.
Power Rangers is set to hit theaters March 24th.
