pan traiiler 2 impresses

We’re pretty excited to see the new Pan movie. Director Joe Wright is taking on the story of Peter Pan, and his version of the story looks visually spectacular. This version of Peter Pan is different from any other that we’ve seen. In most versions of the story, Peter is an immature kid who’s not ready to grow up, but here he seems to be portrayed as someone who’s more mature and has a strong determination.

This has potential to be a great movie. It has a great cast that includes Levi Miller as Peter, Garrett Hedlund as a young James Hook, Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily, and Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard.

A wholly original adventure about the beginnings of the beloved characters created by J.M. Barrie. Peter (Miller) is a mischievous 12-year-old boy with an irrepressible rebellious streak, but in the bleak London orphanage where he has lived his whole life those qualities do not exactly fly. Then one incredible night, Peter is whisked away from the orphanage and spirited off to a fantastical world of pirates, warriors and fairies called Neverland. There, he finds amazing adventures and fights life-or-death battles while trying to uncover the secret of his mother, who left him at the orphanage so long ago, and his rightful place in this magical land. Teamed with the warrior Tiger Lily (Mara) and a new friend named James Hook ( Hedlund), Peter must defeat the ruthless pirate Blackbeard (Jackman) to save Neverland and discover his true destiny—to become the hero who will forever be known as Peter Pan.
Rounding out the cast are Taejoo Na (The Kick) as Kwahu, Nonso Anozie (Atonement) as Bishop, Kathy Burke (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) as Mother Barnabas, Kurt Egyiawan (Skyfall) as Murray, Lewis MacDougall (In the Name of the Children) as Nibs, newcomer Leni Zieglmeier as Wendy Darling, Jack Charles (Mystery Road) as The Chief/Tiger Lily’s father, and Amanda Seyfried (Les Misérables) as Mary.

The movie flies into theaters on October 9th.
