Every movie geek will be in agreement that 2001’s distastefully delightful “Super Troopers” deserves a sequel. Comedy group Broken Lizard has taken charge of launching a crowdfunding campaign on IndieGogo to raise the funds for “Super Troopers 2”. It comes as no surprise to see that Broken Lizard has already raked in over $1.4 million within 12 hours of its announcement. The company only requires $2 million by April 24 to revive the avid pranksters that make up the Five Vermont state troopers we admire to dearly. Broken Lizard promises that $2 million will give us a “better movie” with “bigger stunts,” “louder explosions,” “cameo from real Hollywood actors,” “more full-frontal Farva” and even “Kate Upton.”

Broken Lizard shared a photo on Twitter revealing that original troopers Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske will be back in action. The caption reads:

“THE TIME IS MEOW. Let’s Do It.”

'Super Troopers 2': "THE TIME IS MEOW. Let's Do It."

‘Super Troopers 2’: “THE TIME IS MEOW. Let’s Do It.”

The group also released a campaign video on YouTube along with caption:

“The time is meow. Help us make Super Troopers 2. Score some killer perks and contribute now at supertroopers2movie.com.”
