Gwen Stefani’s first solo song since the release of 2006’s”The Sweet Escape” is available for listening pleasure. The attractive blonde artist released “Baby Don’t Lie” on her Vevo page at midnight on Monday, October 20. Stefani will also perform the new single on “The Voice”, where she is currently serving as a coach. “Baby Don’t Lie” will appear on her upcoming solo album, which she has been working on with longtime collaborator and fellow “The Voice” coach Pharrell Williams. No release date has been set for Stefani’s new album. Hopefully we can expect a bit more from the award-winning artist, I am a tad disappointed with the new song. It’s a mid tempo regurgitated piece of work that we’ve heard before a million times. I expected something more original, especially since we have waited for so long. As a fan of Gwen Stefani, I really hope the rest of her album is not a pop machine special.
