Badass Digest opened a can of worms last week with a scoop from their sources that Spider-Man is going through a bit a crisis over at Sony Entertainment.  We have seen earlier reports suggesting that Marvel and Sony will collaborate efforts to see Spider-Man share the screen with other heroes from the MCU. Furthermore, Andrew Garfield might be replaced in “The Sinister Six“, while the movie serves as a soft reboot for the franchise.

Is the ‘Venom’ Movie Cancelled?

The site also mentioned that the ‘Venom’ movie might be canned due to the uncertainty of Spidey’s future over at Sony. Comic book geeks have been waiting for an opportunity to see Venom in his own flick for some time now, this will be a huge disappointment if the rumor should pan out. “The Amazing Spider-Man” co-scribe Alex Kurtzman recently had us excited when he revealed that Venom fans are in for a much darker movie compared to Spideys adventures. Things are not looking too great with the “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” blunder still fresh out the box office and no release date announcements  for “Venom”.
At least the “The Sinister Six” movie is planned to be released on November 11, 2016, while “Venom (2017)” is still waiting for an official release date.
