Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” retained the top spot at the box office with an estimated $10.4 million over the past weekend. The James Gunn-directed pic managed to steal first place from what seems to be one of the slowest sales weeks of 2014. The unlikely band of heroes raked in a total of $294,8 million domestically, and is slowly cruising toward the $590 million mark worldwide.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” adds an estimated $6.5 million this week, followed by Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans’ buddy cop movie “Let’s Be Cops” in third place with approximately $5,57 million. The Chloe Moretz tearjerker “If I Stay” sits in fourth place with approximately $5,56 million. Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans’ buddy cop movie “Let’s Be Cops” sits in fourth place with $5.8. The top five is rounded up with “The November Man” by adding an estimated $4.2 million.
