The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus will star in the new ‘Silent Hill’ game being directed and produced by Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear) and horror sci-fi master Guillermo Del Toro (Pacific Rim). I think I just did a double back flip without even flinching! That right geeks, fans of Konami’s psychological horror video game series “Silent Hill” will require a clean pair of shorts while being treated to the awesomeness of “The Reedus”.
All was revealed during a mysterious demo for “P.T.” (Playable Teaser) released on PSN during Sony’s Gamescom conference. The announcement that ‘Silent Hills’ is in the works was made in the form of interactive teaser trailer on the PlayStation Store. The hidden interactive trailer for a new Silent Hill game was one of the highlights at the event, and probably one of the most well-kept secrets for the gaming franchise in years.
At the end of the teaser fans can see a man walking down a gloomy street, with del Toro and Kojima’s names popping up right before Reedus face is revealed. The screen fades to white, and the familiar Silent Hill theme music plays as the title “Silent Hills” appears. Kojima said he will be working hard at produce something special while collaborating with Del Toro and the developers. He says the end result will leave gamers with an experience that will see them “sh!t in their pants”.
No release date has been confirmed.
