Amityville: The Awakening” is bringing the horror in its first official trailer. The 12th film in the “Amityville” series serves as the official reboot, with director Franck Khalfoun at the helm of the project. The trailer doesn’t feature anything new, in terms of the storyline inspired by the true events, but there are still many scares to be had here with some captivating moments in the short trailer. The clip features a new family as they move into the haunted Long Island residence. Jennifer Jason Leigh plays a single mother looking to make a fresh start raising three kids. Her son (Cameron Monaghan) who is bed-ridden and in a coma, wakes up suddenly despite his condition. Soon after settling in, strange things start to happen in the house which raises suspicions of supernatural activity.
