The dreams of three eight graders from Brooklyn has come true when Sony signed a record deal to produce albums for their Heavy Metal Band, “Unlocking the Truth”. Spotted in Times Square while tearing up riffs, the trio shot to fame when fans uploaded their live performances on YouTube. The record label will produce the group’s first two albums with an eye on producing another four depending on their commercial success. The boys stand a change of earning up to $1.7 million, should Sony produce all six albums!

The group is comprised of guitarist Malcolm Brickhouse (13), bassist Alec Atkins (13) and drummer Jarad Dawkins (12). Speaking to the New York Post, Dawkins said about the Sony record deal:

“I’m so excited! We’ve made it!”

His mother Tabatha Dawkins is equally excited saying:

“What started out as play dates went to Times Square and now this. It’s been one great thing after another.”

She also mentioned that the boys need to finish school first!

“School work comes first. If their school work is not done, they don’t play,”

“Unlocking the Truth” has reportedly opened for major rock band Guns N’ Roses, and played at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
