Rose Leslie is better known for locking lips with Jon Snow in “Game of Thrones”, while he infiltrated the Wildlings camp. Unfortunately Jon’s last encounter with the fiery redhead was not pleasant and painfully memorable, as she left him with three arrows in his body. According to recent reports, Leslie is set to star opposite Vin Diesel in “The Last Witch Hunter”. The “Fast and Furious 7” actor will take on the role as the titular character, while Leslie plays a witch and love interest of the buffed actor.
The Last Witch Hunter centers on one of the last remaining witch hunters charged with the population control of witches and warlocks. The magical breed is about to proliferate in “a major way” unless “The Last Witch Hunter” can stop them. The film will see Diesel partner with his natural enemy in the streets of modern New York City. Leslie becomes an unlikely ally in a mission to prevent a witch queen from securing a relic containing the power to unleash a plague upon the human race.
Breck Eisner (The Crazies) will take seat behind the lens for Summit Entertainment. According to Deadline, Cory Goodman (Priest) wrote the screenplay; Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) will produce. Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama (“Gods of Egypt”) were hired to polish the script. No release date has been confirmed yet.
