The internet is buzzing with rumors suggesting that the mystery role in “Star Wars Episode 7” is reserved for Carrie Fisher’s daughter with Bryan Lourd. According to a recent report by The Sun, the mystery role to be played by Billie Lourd is the younger version of the famous character her mother portrayed, Princess Leia!

“Billie flew into the U.K. to join her mother earlier this month,”
“She will even have her hair tied up in Princess Leia-style buns. She’s an aspiring actress and singer so she grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Carrie backed the move as she wanted somebody in her family to play her most famous role.”
Carrie Fisher reprises her role as Princess Leia in the upcoming seventh installment of the sci-fi series, which is currently being filmed at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England. The 21-year-old Billie Lourd is a relatively unknown actress, but rumor has that director J.J. Abrams chose her for the role because of her “likeliness” to Carrie. Who said nepotism doesn’t have its advantages!

“Star Wars: Episode 7” is still on route to be released on December 18, 2015, despite the incident involving Harrison Ford’s ankle injury. Ford and Fisher are joined by original members like Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. Additional cast members include the likes of John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, and Gwendoline Christie to name a few. Filming is currently taking place in London and Abu Dhabi. Star Wars fans can expect “Episode 7″ to be set 30 years after 1983′s “Return of the Jedi”. Two sequels are set with the first one to follow in 2017, and the second in 2019.
