Check out the visually pleasing posters for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1,” with citizens portrayed as “heroes” for each district. Panem has its own government website, TheCapitol.pn, which launched a series of viral marketing campaign posters to honor the “district heroes”. The demeaning posters also serves the purpose of fueling Katniss’ cause to lead the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the corrupt Capitol.
The poster for Katniss’ District 12 features a very young girl, Lily Elsington, with dirty old clothes as she encapsulate the idea of citizens that will ”take pride” in their tasks while the “Capitol Salutes It’s Citizens In The Mining District”. District 7′s Elias Haan, features a man who lost a leg and is seen posing with his ax. Check out the rest of the poster and their descriptions!
‘Mockingjay, Part 1,’ the first part of the final chapter in the saga, is shot back-to-back with the last entry, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2”. Jennifer Lawrence is back reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen, the leader of the rebellion against the oppressive capitol. Lawrence is joined by Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Jeffrey Wright, Natalie Dormer and Gwendoline Christie of ‘Game of Thrones,’ Julianne Moore, and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
“Part 1” is due November 21 this year and “Part 2” will follow on November 20, 2015.
