In an interview for the movie 22 Jump Street, Channing Tatum was asked about his role as the extravagant Gambit. Gambit of course is one of the main superheroes part of the X-Men which we have yet to see in a X-Men movie (We really didn’t care for Taylor Kitsch’s portrayal of Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine). Naturally we were pretty excited when his role as Gambit was confirmed just over a month ago. The big news came after months of rumors and speculation when X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner confirmed that Channing Tatum will indeed play Gambit in an upcoming X-Men film. Whether that will be a standalone film or X-Men: Apocalypse or some other X-Men film remains to be seen.
We can expect to Tatum in 22 Jump Street next, and he will also be appearing later this year in Jupiter Ascending and Foxcatcher.
