FOX has released the extended 2 minute trailer (via EW) shortly after the initial teaser trailer for their upcoming Batman prequel series Gotham, and it looks amazing! We’ve been following the castings pretty closely, and prepare to see just about every villain you’ve come to know from the previous Batman movies.
The trailer gives us our first look at several of the familiar characters in action. They consist of Det. Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Catwoman (Camren Bicondova), The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) and even Poison Ivy!

It is strangely satisfying seeing all these characters before they become who we know them to be. We are excited, pretty darn excited! We’ve been looking for a replacement for the boring Arrow series, and this looks to be it!

The show is described as following the younger days of Jim Gordon, as he learns the ropes in Gotham City and begins to encounter characters and villains that will become significant in later Batman stories. We can expect to see Batman’s infamous villains which include the Joker, the Riddler and Catwoman. “The Mentalist” creator Bruno Heller develops the one-hour drama. He executive produces and writes the pilot, which is in the process of casting. Danny Cannon also serves as an executive producer and will direct.
