“Hanna” director Joe Wright will serve behind the lens, with a script penned by Jason Fuchs. Greg Berlanti is producing under his Berlanti Productions banner while Sarah Schechter will oversee for the studio. Peter Pan is set to be released on July 17, 2015.
The production was recently bombarded with unhappy fans who are complaining that Rooney Mara’s role as Tiger Lily role should be given to a real Native American actress. Thousands have taken to a Care2 petition to “protest the choice of a white actress for the Native American role”. More than 8622 signatures, out of their stated 9,000 goal, have been received.
