Coldplay has launched the music video for their hot new single, “Magic”. The clip is shot in black-and-white silent film style starring “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” actress Zhang Ziyi. The video kicks off with jazz music during the introduction of the cast and shifts to Coldplay’s new single. With dialogues on cue cards, each moment is captured as they occur in the music video. The plot circles a love triangle with Cecile (Ziyi) who portrays a magician who’s married to Claude (Chris Martin), a terrible and abusive husband. Martin also portrays Christophe the assistant, who his in love with the damsel in distress. “Magic” is the first single off “Ghost Stories”, Coldplay’s upcoming album that’s scheduled to be released on May 19.
