“Revenge” star Jennifer Jason Leigh and Disney star Bella Thorne has officially joined the cast ensemble for the new ‘Amityville’ Horror Movie. Leigh is tapped to take on the role as a single mother who moves her three kids into a house with a dark history. Jason Blum (“Insidious”, “The Purge”, “The Conjuring”) is onboard as producer, while creative duo Casey La Scala and Daniel Farrands are tapped as writers, and they will direct the pic. The remake will show the events after the original “Amityville Horror” book and movie through found footage dating back to 1976. The film inspired by the terrifying true events that took place in Amityville is set to be released on January 2, 2015.
