Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen is set to reunite for an untitled Xmas comedy, the actors were last seen together on-screen in 2011’s drama comedy “50/50”. The Sony pic is on the fast track for a summer 2014 start, with “50/50” director Jonathan Levine expected to serve behind the lens. Producers/financiers Joe Drake and Nathan Kahane are tapped to join the production team for the upcoming comedy.

“The film revolves around three childhood best friends who reunite in New York City for their annual tradition of going out on Christmas Eve.”

Gordon-Levitt and Rogen have already been confirmed, with the third lead role still vacant. I wonder if Jonah Hill or James Franco will be up for the gig? The entire “50/50” ensemble is back to take a swing at another big successful comedy. Inspired by a true story, “50/50” featured Gordon-Levitt as he struggles after a cancer diagnosis and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease. The film gained critical acclaim and received Best Picture nomination at the 69th Golden Globe Awards. Produced on a bootstrap budget of only $8 million , the pic raked in over $39 million worldwide.
