20th Century Fox is expected to start testing for Reed Richards (aka Mister Fantastic) and Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman) for the Fantastic Four reboot later this month. Jeremy Slater was initially tapped to pen the script with Seth Grahame-Smith onboard to polish the screenplay. The project was paused due to the significant rewrite ordered by Fox. “X-Men: Days of Future Past” screenwriter Simon Kinberg was called in to take over the writing duties. Kinberg is reportedly finished with the rewrite and director Josh Trank is still tapped to serve behind the lens.

No names have been mentioned to test for Ben Grimm (Thing).

Speaking to Collider.com, Miles Teller confirmed that he is in talks for the role as Reed Richards:

“I think, you know, if that were to happen, I think the characters would be taken in a different direction than the kind of blue suits and stuff from the franchise that had previously been done, which you’d have to if you’re gonna reboot something, you really got to kind of put your own spin on it. But with that being said, all I need is like, a couple weeks to just get my body back in shape”.

Screen tests are set to find the right actors to play Reed Richards and Sue Storm and to see which group has the best chemistry. The new ‘Fantastic Four’ flick is set to be released on June 19, 2015.
