We predicted that ‘American Hustle’ will be a strong contender at the Acadamy Awards this year. The David O. Russell directed film walked away with the big honor of the evening at the 20th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, winning outstanding cast in a motion picture.

In addition to winning big at the SAG Awards, ‘American Hustle’ also received seven Golden Globe Award nominations; winning an award for Best Motion Picture, with Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence winning awards for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress respectively. The film has also been nominated for ten British Academy Film Awards and ten Academy Awards.

Bradley Cooper spoke on behalf of the cast ensemble at the SAG Awards , giving praise to O. Russell.
