AMC announced its 2014 line-up which includes the premiere dates for the “Breaking Bad” spin-off “Better Call Saul” and “Mad Men” Final Season. “Better Call Saul” is slated to air sometime in November (a more specific date will be announced later), while the first half of the final season for “Mad Men” will premiere on Sunday, April 13. The final season of “Mad Men” is split into two parts, each consisting of 7 episodes. The second half called “The End of an Era” is scheduled to air in spring 2015.

The show will be a prequel, telling the story of mall-based Saul Goodman in the years before he became Walter White’s attorney

“Breaking Bad” super team Vince Gilligan and writer/producer Peter Gould revealed earlier this month that “Better Call Saul” will be a prequel:

“We think, by and large, this show will be a prequel, but the wonderful thing about the fractured chronology we employed on Breaking Bad for many years is the audience will not be thrown by us jumping around in time,” “So it’s possible that we may indeed do that, and we’ll see the past and perhaps the future.”
