Hugh Jackman’s next film is the Sci-fi movie by director Neil Blomkamp, Chappie. He Instagrammed the below photo which shows his hairstyle for his role as Vincent.
Chappie will be based on one of Blomkamp’s earlier short films. The filmmaker himself confirmed as much saying that Chappie is “Basically based on Tetra Vaal.” Blomkamp went on to confirm that the robot in that video is the same character for Chappie that he’s hinted at in previous videos. The robot will retain his rabbit ears, which are a distinct homage to the robot character Briareos Hecatonchires from the manga/anime, Appleseed. Most recently Neil Blomkamp added Sigourney Weaver to the growing cast of the film Chappie. Weaver joins Sharlto Copley, who provides the voice of Chappie, Hugh Jackman and Dev Patel, “Die Antwoord” rap-rave duo Ninja and Yolandi Visser will also play a part.
