Keanu Reeves says he is willing to take on a new “Bill & Ted” film. I am sure some of you do not remember 1989’s “Excellent Adventure” and 1991’s “Bogus Journey” which followed dumb high school kids Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) time travelling in a phone booth.

“The Matrix” star revealed in an interview on the “Today” show that they are seriously looking at options to make a third installment. This is what he had to say:

“Yeah, there’s a story; there’s a script,”

“We’re trying to get the dough together to make this crazy story.”

“I’m open to the idea of that,”

“I think it’s pretty surreal, playing ‘Bill & Ted’ at 50. But we have a good story in that. You can see the life and joy in those characters, and I think the world can always use some life and joy.”

He added about the storyline for the “bodacious dudes”:

“They do indeed evolve.”

Bill and Ted was popular back in the 90’s which sparked a cult following. The nearly brain dead teens also appeared in a live-action TV series and animated TV series. Keanu fans not willing to wait until the third installment is released can check out his latest movie “47 Ronin”. The  fantasy action film was release on Christmas Day.
