Cosplay girl Melynda Moon went where no other Cosplay girls have gone (as far as we know) and had her ears surgically modified to reflect elfish ears. Recent news articles have attributed this to her love for Lord of the Rings, but the model said herself that the modification was due to her love for The Legend of Zelda. Her work is absolutely amazing, and honestly some of the best work we’ve seen.
Who is Melynda Moon?
My name is Melynda Moon. I am a very friendly creative person who loves to model and keep my creativity flowing in other ways too. I am very versatile, and willing to work with any style! I love any form of expression. I am quite the Chameleon! I also have modified ears, they have been pointed to become Elf like! In the name of Legend of Zelda ♥ I grew up with Video Games!
I started modelling in 2008, and ever since continued to keep at it. My portfolio has become very large over the past few years. I can only hope to keep it growing, and that it gets better and better.
Dubbed the human elf around the world but originally from Guelph in Ontario, Canada, she said she has always felt like she comes from a different realm and believes she was a fairy in a previous life. Ms Moon, 23, who also had her name changed by deed poll – had the tops of her ear cartilage skinned and pieces cut from the tips to form points. You have to appreciate the level of commitment she’s showing.
A previous body modification she had done was a subdermal implant on her left hand to reflect the Triforce. The Triforce is a sacred relic that reappears throughout the Legend of Zelda series. These golden sacred triangles were left behind by the three Golden Goddesses — Din, the Goddess of Power; Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom; and Farore, the Goddess of Courage — after thecreation of the land of Hyrule and Lorule. The Triforce has the power to grant the wish of whomever touches it, and molds the Sacred Realm to reflect that person’s heart. The Triforce does not discriminate between “good” or “evil”. However, if a person without an equal balance of power, wisdom, and courage makes a wish, the Triforce will split into its three separate parts: the piece that best personifies the wish-maker will be the only piece to remain in hand, whilst the other two will take residence in whosoever most personifies them. Reassembly is then required for such a person’s wish to be granted, but does not exclude another from making the attempt.
