The ‘Terminator’ reboot ‘Terminator: Genesis‘ is finalizing its cast, and Emilia Clarke best known for her role as the dragon-owning Daenerys Targaryen on ‘Game of Thrones‘ is now confirmed to play Sarah Connor. Emilia has been rumored to play Sarah for a while now with Tom Hardy to play her son John Connor. We’re not quite sure how this will fit in with the plot, seeing as Emilia will be a rather ‘young’ Sarah Connor. If her son is being played by Tom Hardy then we can only assume time travelling and/or switching between time-zones will be used in the film. How else will they explain the age difference between the young Sarah Connor (Emilia) and her son John (older Tom Hardy). Arnold Schwarzenegger will be reprising his role as the T-800 robot body guard, taking on the responsibility of protecting Sarah Connor’ as she grows up

The film will be helmed by “Thor: The Dark World” director Alan Taylor, with a script penned by “Shutter Island” screenwriter Laeta Kalogridis and “Dracula 2000″ writer Patrick Lussier.  ‘Terminator 5′ will kick off production early next year for a release date set July 1, 2015.
