The Killers has unleashed a music video for their Christmas singe, “Christmas in L.A.,” featuring Owen Wilson. The band has released eight holiday songs in total in support of World AIDS Day. All proceeds will make its way to aid Project (RED) and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS.

The stripped-down acoustic holiday tune about spending a lonely Christmas in Los Angeles kicks off with Wilson talking to fellow actor Harry Dean Stanton. Wilson wakes up alone and his animated character wanders around Southern California for a bit. He eventually unwraps a gift next to a very sad looking Christmas tree.

Lead singer Brandon Flowers told the U.K.’s Metro:

“the song is about a struggling actor in L.A. who misses the traditional Christmas.”

The singer added:

“You’ll never see us smile or let our hair down as much as when we do the Christmas stuff. It always turns out to be a lot of work but it’s really refreshing.”
