Fox Studios has made some adjustments on its release date schedule. “The Fantastic Four” moves back from March 6, 2015 to a new slot on June 19 in the same year. The much anticipated comic book movie reboot will be facing off against tough contenders such as:

  • “Avengers: Age of Ultron” – May 1
  • “Jurassic World” – June 12
  • “Terminator 5” – July 1
  • “Man of Steel 2” – July 17
  • “Ant-Man” – July 31

The “Independence Day” sequel, Roland Emmerich’s “ID Forever Part 1,” was initially planned for July 3, 2015. The release date will jump a year to make its way out on July 1, 2016. Considering the already overcrowded slate for 2015, “ID Forever Part 1″ will have an “easier” run against Sony’s “Angry Birds” scheduled to be released at the same time.

Additional release date schedule changes:

  • “The Secret Service” : November 11, 2014 – New: March 6, 2015
  • “Assassin’s Creed” : June 19, 2015 – New: August 7, 2015
  • “Hercules: The Legend Begins” : March 1, 2014 – New: February 7, 2014 (five months before rival film “Hercules: The Thracian Wars” scheduled to be released on July 25)

“The Legend Begins” will duke it out with “The Lego Movie” and “The Monuments Men”. Also presenting some competition is the hotly anticipated “RoboCop” reboot, scheduled to be released on February 12.
