“Tales From the Darkside” will be coming to CW according to a recent report by Variety.com. George A. Romero’s 1980s horror classic will be developed by the network as a “reinvention of the horror/fantasy/thriller anthology series.” The half-hour episode series will feature individual short stories, ending with a twist much like the original 80’s classics.

“Star Trek” scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will serve as executive producers along with Heather Kadin and Jerry Golod. Kurtzman and Orci is a fantastic duo, previously serving as scribes on “Star Trek”, and they are currently executive producing FOX’s “Sleepy Hollow”. Joe Hill (Stephen King’s son) will pen the script.

“Tales From the Darkside” should make its way in 2014 if CW moves forward with the decision.
