“Thor: The Dark World” director Alan Taylor is reportedly strapping in to find his dream cast for the futuristic sci-fi movie “Terminator 5”. Hollywoodreporter.com shared the news first that Tom Hard is at the top of his wish list however they have not entered talks with the “The Dark Knight Rises” star. Hardy will take on the role as John Connor if the possibility of this role has to materialize. Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”), Brie Larson (“21 Jump Street”) and Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street”) are in Taylor’s cross-hairs to portray John’s mother Sarah Connor . The character was played by Linda Hamilton in “The Terminator” and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” directed by James Cameron. The Hollywood reporter mentions that her character “is the future mother of John Connor, who grows up to be the leader of the human resistance in the war between humanity and cyborgs.”

Garrett Hedlund is rumored to be on the shortlist of contenders to portray Kyle Reese. “Terminator 5” is due to be released on July 1, 2015. Hardy is in the spotlight the last couple of weeks with another big announcement, the buff movie star is also tapped to play Sir. Elton John in the biographical musical fantasy titled “Rocketman”.
