The Deadpool movie is moving forward…slowly.

Latest news on the Deadpool movie is that things are moving forward again…slowly. Clevver Movies sat down with director  Tim Miller who said that the creative is ready, and they’re just waiting for the greenlight!

“We will never give up! Deadpool is still alive and we’re just waiting for the studio to embrace what an amazingly f***ing awesome film this would be. Ryan is ready, I am ready, the fans are more than ready, we just need that elusive green light.”

Miller also confirmed that a new draft of the script has been sent in by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Reynolds previously explained how they are trying to push it through,

“[In] its current iteration the movie’s actually very small. There’s minimal impact to the studio, which is the way we’re kind of presenting it to them. We’re saying ‘Look, the budget is minimal. Therefore, can we do this the way it should be done?’ Which unfortunately needs a Rated R or it needs those elements.”

Here’s the interview:

Back in July Ryan Reynolds told us that the Deadpool movie is  more on and off than a light switch, he was quoted saying:

“That movie is alive and kicking, and then it’s dead as a doornail. Then it’s alive and kicking and then it’s dead… it’s like the worst relationship I’ve ever had!”

“The character knows he’s a comic-book character, he knows he’s in a film, he knows who the executives are at the studio making the movie,”
