The first trailer for upcoming horror film “Open Grave” has just arrived. Sharlto Copley (“District 9”) awakens to a nightmare and freaks out when he find himself in a pit full of corpses. He also finds a gun in the pit of death and a he can’t remember how he ended up there. A group of people eventually finds him in the pit unable to recollect why the murders have taken place. Copley portrays the character John, who starts to hallucinate and believes that he is the killer, and must try to uncover the truth. Copley is supported by Josie Ho, Thomas Kretschmann, Joseph Morgan and Erin Richards among others.

A man (Sharlto Copley, DISTRICT 9, ELYSIUM) wakes up in a pit of dead bodies with no memory of who he is or how he got there. Fleeing the scene, he breaks into a nearby house and is met at gunpoint by a group of terrified strangers, all suffering from memory loss. Suspicion gives way to violence as the group starts to piece together clues about their identities, but when they uncover a threat that’s more vicious — and hungry — than each other, they are forced to figure out what brought them all together — before it’s too late.
The film helmed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego, is set to be released on January 3, 2014.
