The top five acts will comprise a “fan’s ballot” that will count as one of the more than 600 ballots that determine the Class of 2014. I see LL Cool J has made the cut and Nirvana is on the list as well. The surviving members of Nirvana released a re-issue of the band’s final studio album “In Utero” in September this year. The remastered album features a director’s cut of their 1993 music video “Heart Shaped Box” by Anton Corbijn, which already appears on Corbijn’s Director’s Series DVD. Lead singer, guitarist and primary songwriter of the grunge band committed suicide in April 1994 at his home in Seattle, September also marked the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s final album ‘In Utero.’ Nirvana is definitely among my favorites.
